Grade 3 Gifted Screening: Friday December 2nd
All current grade 3 students will be participating in gifted screening. Please make every effort not to schedule appointments that will take your child away from school this Friday. More information is available from the YRDSB Gifted Screening section.
This screening involves a two stage process: Stage One involves the administration of a group test of cognitive abilities, the Canadian Cognitive Abilities Test (CCAT) to all grade three students. If a student meets the CCAT criterion, they will be referred for Stage Two in the process, an Intellectual Screening with a member of the YRDSB Psychological Services department. Those students who meet the YRDSB intellectual criterion of a score at, or above the 98th percentilerank on the General Ability Index of the intellectual screening measure (WISC V) will be considered by the IPRC (Identification Placement Review Committee).

Triple P Parenting Program (available in 中文)
All parents want to do their best when parenting their children. Triple P stands for “Positive Parenting Program”. It is a system that emphasizes the development of positive attitudes, skills, and behaviour. This helps prevent problems from arising and fosters family relationships that encourage children to realize their full potential so they will do well at home, at school, and in the community.
