On September 19, EQAO will publicly release the school, board and provincial reports from the 2017-2018 school year. This can be found on the public EQAO Website: public website . You will also be able to access the results through the board website .This report provides an overview of school contextual information and student performance data including the results for the board and province.
● EQAO assessment data will be used as an additional source of information to support the improvement of student learning.
● Improving student learning is a slow, gradual process. We need to look for sustained growth in achievement over time.
● The Board does not support the use of results to rank or compare schools.
● Thoughtful discussion with school and community partners about the results from this
assessment and other classroom assessment data will move the improvement planning
agenda forward on behalf of all students.
Between October 1 – 5, schools will send the Individual Student Reports home to parents/families.
Diamond Day-September 19
Yom Kippur is the Jewish Day of Atonement and the most solemn of the Jewish Holy Days. Before Yom Kippur, Jews perform the Kaparot atonement service. In the late afternoon they eat the pre-fast meal, followed by blessing their children, light a memorial candle as well as the holiday candles and go the synagogue for the Kol Nidrei service. In the course of Yom Kippur, five prayer services are held. People ask for forgiveness of their sins and forgive others of theirs. Jews refrain from all eating and drinking on this day.
